Hydraulic automotive lifts can be either rack-mounted or scissor-type. Each type of elevator has its own advantages and disadvantages, however, car repairmen most often use rack-mounted lifting devices. They are easier to manufacture, so they are more affordable.

The company DARZ produces two- and four-column hydraulic lifts. The former are designed for the repair and maintenance of passenger cars, the latter are suitable for working with trucks. Scissor lifts, based on the characteristics of their lifting capacity, are divided into passenger and cargo lifts (in both cases they have two parallelogram mechanisms).
